For example, the launch of HKT Home Phone mobile application allows our customers to enjoy multiple elite value-added services, significantly enhancing the fixed-line service experience.

A clear, stable and reliable calling service

Our Fixed-Line Service uses the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) or Next Generation Network (NGN), which provides telecommunications connectivity between fixed points in Hong Kong. Furthermore, Our Broadband Phone (VoIP) Service utilizes NETVIGATOR fibre broadband and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. Both Home Phone Services offer clear and stable voice quality.

HKT Fixed-Line Service (Not applicable to the Broadband Phone (VoIP) Service) is not affected by a residential building’s electricity supply. This means our telephone service and emergency alarm system remain up and running in all weathers, even during an electricity power cut for a certain period of time.

  • Relies on a residential building’s power supply
  • No power means no telephone service
  • Requires our skilled technician to visit your premises for installation
  • Connects the phone to the designated optical network unit, supporting plug-and-play
  • Connects the emergency alarm system
  • Not affected by a residential building’s electricity power cut
  • The emergency alarm system will not function properly if a residential building suffers an electricity power cut
